ION-Photo-Award 2007

The Team

In the beginning we were not sure, which crazy world record we could break. Then we found out, that the windsurfboard-throwing world record was set in 1999 by Brian Talma at 14.04 metres.

So we gave our best to challenge this record...

It was close, you couldn`t tell by the naked eye, so we had to wait for the photo finish...

Unbelieveable...
14.03 metres, just 1 single centimetre short of the world record.

We were depressed and angry...

So what to do, when you`re pissed?

Right...go windsurfing...

We surfed the whole day, so we would feel better...

Alsoe the girl in our team ripped the lake with moves like this super smooth body drag...

Chris pushed the limits...

and Andi threw out the highest loops the lake has ever seen...

After this session we didn`t know waht to do, but fortunately one of us had the saving idea...

We should not try to break a record, but create a new, really crazy world record...

Our plan was to live 24 hours completely synchronised.

So we started into our synchronised day...

Forecasts said no wind today, but we were optimistic and rigged our sails...synchronised of course....

We even did snchronised supermans...

Single supermans are sooo old-school...

In the evening we partied syncronised and the officials from the Guiness book of world records already prepared the pricegiving ceremony as there were only a few minutes left for the 24 hours synchronised day...

But then came the big desaster...

We had to go for a piss...

And that didn´t work out synchronised with a girl in the team...

Next world record missed...

We had to go for a deep meditation, to focus our minds again...

And in this deep state of concentration we combinend all our powers and found the ultimate world record...

We trained hard for it with all the big moves...

Like huge Forwards...

Table Tops...

And even backloops...on a lake...

Because our plan was to capture the first ever tripple loop in windsurfing history on camera...

So ladies and gentlemen, be prepared as you now witness windsurfing history...

One...

Two...

Three!!!

The first ever tripple loop in windsurfing history was done on lake garda at the ION PHOTO AWARD 07.
